At MDT A/S, we offer customized large-scale 3D printing solutions and designs. If you have a project or just an idea where large-scale 3D printing can be a solution, we are happy to assist with consulting, development and printing.

3D printers at MDT A/S

Our large-scale 3D printing facilities consist of 8 large industrial robots, each equipped with its own printing head. The robots can move in six axes, allowing us to challenge the more common printing method. Combined with the size of the robots, we can print in dimensions of 3x2x1.5 meters.

Materials:
We print using various plastic materials such as recycled PLA and PETG, and we print with both filament and granules. We have the facilities to recycle plastic ourselves.

Wall thickness:
While on smaller 3D printers we typically print with a layer thickness of 0.1-0.3 millimeters, the large 3D printers typically print with a layer thickness of 2 to 3 millimeters, depending on the geometry and durability. The thin wall thicknesses, enable us to keep the prints light weight, while increasing the focus on a strong and load-bearing geometry.
