Designed by  Bjarke Ingels Group
Project  3D printed pavillion
Material  rPLA and mycelium

The pavilion is an innovative project about the sustainable architecture of the future. It is a collaboration between Dansk AM Hub, Bjarke Ingels Group, Naturpladen and MDT A/S.

The pavilion is constructed of 16 arches, all consisting of 11 different building blocks. Each building block is 3D-printed in recycled PLA and filled with mycelium. Its dense root network has grown into the print and thus acts as an insulator.

The wall elements are printed on our industrial robots, which can print at a scale of up to 3m x 2x x 1.8m.
