This art installation is a cross-section between art, engineering, sound and materials, created in collaboration with Austrian designer Sofia Hagen.

For a light festival in Austria, MDT 3D printed a 2.7 meter high parametric “salt” crystal in one continuous print, as well as 5 crystal fractions, on our industrial robots.

The art installation crystals are printed in transparent recycled PETG, which arrive from plastic waste from the medical industry. The combination of light and transparent PETG gives the objects the sparkling crystal look.
