Acoustic regulation in open-plan office
Technic:
Sound dampening panels and 3D print
Together with Bettina Therese Interior Design, we have helped Schneider Electric solve noise problems in their open-plan office in the old industrial hall.
Industrial halls converted into open-plan offices can often create challenges with acoustics. A noisy and disruptive workplace can affect the well-being of employees, decrease job satisfaction, and reduce productivity.
The hanging room dividers equipped with sound-absorbing panels, is created based on a design by Bettina Therese Interior Design.
The partially transparent walls are strategically placed to break the sound traveling along the space, while maintaining the sense of an open-plan office.
Bettina Therese Interior Design also incorporates nature images and our natural material, peat, to bring the surrounding landscape into the office.
The walls were installed on a specially designed suspension system that allowed them to be moved back and forth as needed, utilizing 3D printed brackets for the system.
More about 3D print?
By placing sound-absorbing room dividers on top of the meeting rooms, we captured the noise being reflected between the sections of the office.
Our acoustic-regulating natural peat, and nature-printed images are strategically located in the office to achieve large sound-absorbing areas in crucial positions.
In this way, we have created a quieter and more comfortable workspace for the employees.
